CCTV stands for close-circuit television. Currently in the market, there are many CCTVs available to meet different needs of different people. Here are different types of CCTV cameras:
•Infrared Day/Night camera: This camera gives color images during the day. When the light surrounding the camera diminishes to a certain level then it uses near infrared light to capture black and white images.
•Fixed domes cameras: Fixed dome cameras are enclosed in domes. The purpose that it is built in such a way is because it prevents people from identifying in which direction the camera is located.
•PTZ cameras: A PTZ camera stands for “Pan, Tilt and Zoom.” It is also known as “Eye in the sky.” This camera not only allows the user to tilt the camera in different directions but it also zooms in the direction the user wants.
•C-Mount or box security cameras: This is a normal CCTV camera but with the advantage that one can change its lens according to their need. For example suppose you place the camera and don’t find the image clear, then you can change its lens for better viewing.
•PTZ domes: PTZ dome is an advanced version of the PTZ camera. Because it provides more flexibility in movement, it is perfect for live monitoring. The user can easily follow a person or an object with PTZ dome cameras.
•Vandal proof cameras: CCTV cameras designed especially to withstand vandalism are known as Vandal proof cameras. Such cameras are also weatherproof and waterproof. They are placed in areas where vandalism is common.
•IP security cameras: These CCTV cameras are connected with an IP network through CAT-5 cable/ Ethernet connection.
•License plate capture camera: CCTV cameras are especially designed to capture license plates of cars breaking traffic laws. They are more commonly known as “License plate capture cameras.” Because the camera is built with intelligent traffic modes, it makes it easy for user to capture the clear images of licenses plates.
